Abstract
The methodological manual was developed in conjunction with the methodological recommendations "Education of a value-based attitude to communications in a digital open environment.", based on the results of a scientific study conducted by the Laboratory of Moral, Civic, and Intercultural Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, titled "Education of a value-based attitude to communications in a digital open environment in children's public associations" (2022–2024). The methodological principles for developing digital competencies in children's public organizations have been defined, highlighting the specific features of the communication space for fostering digital competencies, as well as essential digital skills and abilities. International experience in the development of digital competencies among children and youth has been presented. Additionally, the manual is complemented by the methodological recommendations "Fostering a Value-Based Attitude Towards Communication in a Digital Open Environment," which comprehensively present the outcomes of the scientific research. It is intended for coordinators and leaders of children's public organizations and associations, researchers, students of higher pedagogical education institutions, general secondary and extracurricular education educators, youth workers, and teachers in recreation and health improvement institutions.
