Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of implementing aspects of cross-cutting learning to form the basic competencies of students in the context of the New Ukrainian School (NUS) concept. It is determined that cross-cutting learning covers the educational activities of students in all content areas and basic disciplines, ensuring consistency, logic and accessibility in the formation of key skills. The emphasis is placed on such competencies as critical thinking, creativity, analysis and decision-making. The role of an integrated approach in secondary school education, which helps to improve the skills acquired in primary school and transform them to a qualitatively new level, is also explored. The material will be useful for teachers, meteorologists, and researchers involved in education reform.
