Abstract

The problem of social development of schoolchildren, which arises in connection with the accelerated development of digitalization of the economy, social life and education is presented in the artcle. The author emphasized that the rapid digitization of society and the environment of life has led to transformations, increased demands on the subjects of socialization regarding the formation of other models of social development and the assimilation of norms of social behavior, the acquisition of digital education by students using information resources, the digitization of communication processes, leisure, learning, because in the conditions of digital transformation there is a need to socialize in a different way and build relationships in the “person-person” system. The author distinguished, that the process of social development of student youth and aspects of their socialization in the period of digitalization of society are of scientific interest not only for domestic scientists, but also for specialists abroad, since the processes of global digitalization of the economy and spheres of society are taking place in most countries of the world. The theoretical foundations of the research are outlined, the results of foreign research by scientists who are interested in topical issues of social media and digital tools,the use of digital technologies in the educational process are highlighted. The main attention by the author is paid to the issues of digitization of education and digital socialization, which as separate phenomena and as concepts are beginning to enter the circulation of the international professional community, but these processes are still not sufficiently researched. The factors and components of the digital environment, which have a potential impact on the cognitive activity of the individual, are highlighted and it is emphasized that thanks to digitalization, new social and cultural conditions have emerged, in which the formation of the personality of the student youth and its social development in both personal and social aspects unfolds.
