Abstract

The monograph is devoted to the analysis of historical-cultural and modern theoretical-methodological approaches to the formation of the military identity of Ukrainians. The influence of historical and cultural factors on the formation of the military identity of Ukrainians is characterized; the peculiarities of the military identity of women and children are determined; the narrative is characterized as a means of constructing the identity of the individual; the narratives of the military everyday life of Ukrainians are outlined; Special attention is paid to the historical contexts of the formation of a military nation, in particular the influence of Cossack identity on the mentality of the Ukrainian people, the military identity of Ukrainians in modern Ukrainian literature is outlined, and the narratives of the military identity of modern Ukrainians are identified. This monograph may be useful to psychologists-scientists, historians, cultural scientists, teachers, practical psychologists, educators, social workers, psychotherapists, and everyone who is interested in the psychological aspects of the formation of the military identity of Ukrainians, including during the current Russian-Ukrainian war.
