Abstract
The article examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the phases of andragogic education. The process of understanding and adopting AI in education is dynamic, caused by changes in the level of knowledge about technology, and by its exponentially growing evolution, as a result of which there is a constant gap in knowledge (between what this technology is and as they know it) and dynamic changes in the method of integration into the educational process. The purpose of the article is to characterize the potential of AI for the transformation of andragogic processes through the integration of AI into various forms of educational media. The authors analyze the potential of AI for personalization of learning, adaptability and efficiency. A set of methods of general scientific, theoretical and empirical research was used to solve the research tasks. The scientific literature devoted to AI and andragogic learning was analyzed. The study of AI and its impact on adult education reveals generative AI technologies and their potential application in educational institutions, considers opportunities and ethical issues, and provides insight into new trends. The methodological awareness of teachers is a key factor that affects how AI will be used in the educational process and, as a result, its effectiveness. The key phases of the andragogic process (motivation, conceptualization, consolidation, recommendations) are described and the possibilities of using AI in the phases of andragogic learning are explored according to the main forms of educational media ((1) narrative, (2) interactive, (3) communicative, (4) adaptive and (5) productive (according to Diane Lauriard)). AI has significant potential to improve the theory and practice of teacher training in the process of professional development, offering a personalized approach. The pedagogical research under consideration is being conducted within the framework of the Scientific research work of the Department of philosophy and adult education of the CIPE SIHE “University of educational management” of NAES of Ukraine “Transformation of the professional development of pedagogical and scientific pedagogical workers in the conditions of an open university of postgraduate education” (state registration number 0120Ư104637 (2020–2025)).
