Abstract
The article examines the phenomenon of desensitization to danger in children living in war conditions, based on experimental studies of psychological reactions. Studies have shown that constant exposure to stressors, such as explosions and destruction, gradually reduces children's emotional sensitivity to threats. As a result, children begin to assess danger less adequately, which leads to risky behavior. Experiments have also shown that chronic stress and adaptation to the conditions of war significantly affect the emotional state of children, in particular, contributing to the development of emotional apathy and reducing the ability to concentrate. Based on the experimental results, conclusions were drawn regarding the need to implement programs of psychological support, development of emotional stability, and teaching children safe behavior in conflict conditions.
