Abstract

The publication implements a person-oriented approach to the psychology of giftedness. Cognitive and personal factors of giftedness, psychological diagnosis of giftedness, characteristics of a developmental educational environment for gifted people, psychological assistance to gifted youth are considered. Special attention is paid to the motivational core of giftedness, which is embodied, in particular, in the value attitude towards one's own activities and abilities. The study guide is intended for students, researchers, practical psychologists, and teachers.
