Abstract
The relevance of the research is determined by the rapid pace of development of digital technologies and digital society, as well as the rapid development of digital pedagogy, which requires clarification and specification of many concepts that are actively and not always appropriately exploited by mass media, popular science and scientific sources. Purpose: to carry out a terminological analysis of the main definitions of the pedagogical phenomenon "IT education". Methods: general-theoretical methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization – for the study of documentary, narrative, journalistic and popular science sources, identification of the main basic concepts of research, clarification of their semantics and features of introduction into scientific circulation. Results: an analysis of official (laws, resolutions, decrees, orders, concepts, information-analytical and statistical reports), scientific (monographs, scientific articles, materials of conferences, webinars, seminars), reference (dictionaries, handbooks, encyclopedias), educational (textbooks, training manuals), production-practical (methodical and practical manuals, educational programs, working training programs, curricula, reports on self-evaluation of educational programs, etc.), journalistic and popular science (publications in mass media, materials of sites, web resources) sources has been carried out. Conclusions: hypero-hyponymic, generic-species relations in the lexical-semantic system of modern pedagogical science related to the use of the pedagogical phenomenon "IT education" are investigated; it has been found that this concept is a component of the pedagogical category "education" – a complex, multifaceted, polysemantic phenomenon, variously presented in official, reference, scientific, educational literature; the essence of the concept of "IT education" is determined; the lexical-semantic group of basic and related concepts ("digital education", "media education", "digital culture", "digital competence", "IT competence", "digital literacy", "digitalization", "digital skills", "digital-skills", etc.) is substantiated.
