Abstract

The relevance of the research is due to the problem of staff shortage of the Ukrainian IT industry, the need of analyzing the causes of its emergence and overcoming it. The analysis of statistical, analytical and scientific sources testifies the considerable attention of the scientific community of Ukraine to the peculiarities of training of specialists for the IT sphere and actualizes the expediency of radical change of the paradigm of IT training, which should be based on the idea of educating a free, creative, responsible, autonomous and mobile personality. It can be fulfilled by rethinking the essence of IT education as a socio-pedagogical phenomenon, changing approaches to vocational guidance of public, updating еducational programs, improving the system of reclassification and retraining of specialists, reforming public education policy, increasing academic freedom of educational іnstitutions, creativity, autonomy and mobility of students.
