Abstract
The purpose of the study is to monitor an electronic scientific professional publication using open access information and digital systems. The process of digitalization requires the founders of scientific professional journals to use scientometrics, as they are interested in indexing their publications in international scientometric and abstract databases. There is a need to select web analytics services and bibliometric systems, methods of their application for monitoring publications and websites of electronic scientific professional journals to monitor the results of scientific and pedagogical research. The study analyzes the use of the services of the multifunctional universal web analytics system Google Analytics and the Ukrainian Science Citation Index (UCI) to monitor the electronic scientific professional journal “Information Technologies and Learning Tools”. The article describes the process of selecting information and digital systems and highlights their indicative scientometric indicators for monitoring electronic scientific professional journals. Web analytics makes it possible to identify the weaknesses and strengths of a website, improve it and make it more user-friendly, and allow the owner of the web resource to make strategically important decisions. With the help of information and digital technologies tools for monitoring electronic scientific professional publications, it is possible to track the relevance of their content by collecting and processing scientometric and analytical values of indicators: the number of events on the web resource, users, views, downloads, citations of scientific publications by year, the citation index of articles, as well as rating assessment: the most productive author, the most cited author, the most popular articles, etc. Web-based monitoring systems help to identify the main goals in the process of evaluating the statistical indicators of a professional publication and customize them according to the necessary parameters, filling the web resource in accordance with the interests of users. The creation of new information and digital open access systems and their implementation in the field of education and science is a driving force that promotes further research on their use.
