Abstract
The report outlines the main results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activities in close connection with the scientific-information, scientific-methodological, socio-cultural work of V. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine (SSEL) during 2020-2024 in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine. The author presents the topics of scientific research, scientific and practical events, virtual book exhibitions, which contribute to strengthening the humanitarian dimension of national security in the linguistic, cultural and information spheres, implementation of the policy of national memory, Ukrainian national and civic identity, formation of patriotism, Ukrainian national identity. It has been argued that the employees are actively putting up informational resistance to the russian aggressor. The prospects for further development of the SSEL have been identified as follows: intensification of international cooperation in the context of the European integration; participation in national and global projects; introduction of modern digital technologies, including artificial intelligence and software; improvement of the mechanism of acquisition, organization and storage of the fund, formation of digital content of rare publications; carrying out measures to attract young scientists and librarians to work at the SSEL. It has been proven that it is necessary to implement the SSEL Development Strategy with the belief in the victory over the russian invaders, movement to the European Union to meet the needs of defense and national security, formation of competitive human capital and establishment of a positive image of the library as an innovative scientific, scientific-information, scientific-methodological, cultural and educational center both in Ukraine and in the world.
