Abstract

The article highlights key aspects of the digital transformation of society and education in Ukraine and Europe. The authors analyse the concept of «digital transformation,» its systemic nature, and its impact on various spheres of life. Particular attention is paid to the problem of digital disparities in society, their multi-level nature, and their connection with socio-economic factors. The challenges of the digital disparity in education are examined, including unequal access to quality education and the need for the development of digital literacy. The article highlights key European initiatives and strategic documents aimed at bridging the digital divide, including the «Digital Decade for Europe: Digital Targets for 2030» program. The tasks for Ukraine in the context of the digital transformation of education are outlined, emphasizing the importance of ensuring equal access to quality digital resources and developing citizens’ digital competencies in the conditions of martial law.
