Abstract

The article contains the results of scientific studies analyzing the problem of observing academic integrity under conditions of using artificial intelligence and ensuring it in educational and scientific activities. Special significance of observing academic integrity by the participants of educational and scientific research processes in the current conditions of using artificial intelligence in educational and scientific activities not only in the whole world, but also in present-day Ukraine is emphasized. Definitions of the terms "academic integrity", "artificial intelligence", "neural network", "chat-bot", "artificial intelligence systems" are given. State of compliance with academic integrity by the participants of educational and scientific research processes was analyzed, low degree of knowledge, understanding of types of academic dishonesty and practical application of mechanisms to prevent it in educational and scientific activities was noted. Peculiarities of the legislative consolidation of the forms of academic integrity observance by the participants of educational and scientific research processes in Ukraine and types of academic responsibility of pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers, as well as students of education for violations were determined. Types of academic integrity violations in accordance with current legislation were detailed. Need to develop students’ ability to use acquired knowledge in educational and cognitive activities, in particular during classroom and extracurricular independent work was updated. Foreign experience of preventing academic dishonesty was studied and peculiarities of current Ukrainian realities were analyzed. Need to develop the ability to use acquired knowledge in practical activities, in particular during educational and research processes, was emphasized. Recommendations on compliance with academic integrity under the conditions of artificial intelligence use and its provision in educational activities by participants in the educational process and researchers in scientific activities were developed.
