Abstract

The article provides a theoretical and methodical analysis of foreign practices of using artificial intelligence in education and science. The analysis of foreign scientific publications on the topic of the study testified to its extensive study, practical assimilation and application, broad interpretation and orientation to the future. It is definded that despite the growing impact of AI on our digital environment and experience, the public is often uninformed or unaware that AI is embedded in the technologies they use regularly. A set of studies by foreign scientists devoted to the practice of using artificial intelligence in education and science is analyzed. Vision, challenges, roles and problems of artificial intelligence in education; scientific research by surveying teenagers and young people regarding the perception, use and understanding of artificial intelligence were studied; an experiment in the field of global youth culture and media, transmedia learning, media literacy and scientific controversies, different national approaches to media research, media education policy was analyzed; impact of web-intelligent learning systems on academic achievements and sustainability of acquired knowledge in physics education. Actualization of humanitarian issues was confirmed, in particular the role of AI ethics in education and science; negative impact of AIEd on teenagers’ emotional perception during the application of AI technologies in education. providing resources and creating opportunities for professional development of computer science teachers, as well as developing standards and guidelines for education in this field, especially regarding the use of AI were evidenced. It was concluded that youth need to develop awareness and understanding of complex nature and role of AI and how it shapes their lives; it was proven that practical training can help young people avoid misconceptions about AI. It was confirmed that active use of AI in education had contributed to the emergence of a number of studies on the development of the ethics of using it in the context of global community, need to consider such issues as justice, accountability, transparency, bias, autonomy and inclusion in the context of developing a culture of using AI in education.
