Abstract
An important aspect of the transformation of education is the creation of an information and educational environment, with a digital platform at its center. Digital learning platforms provide educational opportunities to a wider range of vocational students and teachers, regardless of location or time constraints. The main components of a digital platform for the professional training of skilled workers in the mechanical engineering industry include: theoretical materials in the format of texts, videos, infographics; interactive exercises and tasks; practical simulations and virtual laboratories; monitoring of students' progress; automated testing and assessment; feedback from teachers; forums for communication and cooperation of students; a network of mentors with experience in the mechanical engineering industry; access to vacancies and career resources.
