Abstract

The monograph highlights the issues of developing a teacher's digital competence in the context of the digitalisation of education. It compiles Ukrainian and foreign experience using digital tools and instruments for organising the educational process in general secondary, higher, and postgraduate education systems. It contains materials presented at the international conference "Teacher's Digital Competence 2024: Innovations in a Changing Environment" by scholars from Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, and other countries. The authors of the monograph are researchers, pedagogical workers, postgraduate students, and master's students from Ukrainian and foreign universities, scientific institutions, and educational establishments of various types. The three chapters of the collective monograph cover the following content blocks: "Digital Transformation of Education and the Development of Digital Competence in Formal and Non-Formal Education Systems: International and Regional Context" (Chapter I), "Digital Educational Content for Achieving Educational Goals in Subject Areas: Innovative Methods and Resources" (Chapter II), "Digital Educational Environment of the New Ukrainian School: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies for Adapting to Change" (Chapter III). The team of authors of the monograph highlights such issues as scientific and methodological approaches to the development of digital competence; safety of using digital tools in school education; digital educational content for achieving didactic goals in subject areas; didactic aspects of using digital learning tools in school education during the war; the use of virtual/augmented reality and artificial intelligence for developing digital competence; digital communication in educational institutions; the digital educational environment of the new Ukrainian school in wartime; information and communication technologies in vocational education and teacher training; pedagogical innovations: modern teaching practices in Ukraine and abroad; professional development of teachers in the context of digital transformation. Special attention is paid to the use of the latest digital tools during limited access to educational infrastructure caused by various factors, including post-COVID consequences in countries, natural disasters, and the state of war in Ukraine. The materials presented in the monograph are predominantly descriptions of the authors' pedagogical and scientific experiences. The publication is addressed to postgraduate students, lecturers of higher and postgraduate education institutions, researchers, public organisations, and all interested parties.
