Abstract

The publication analyzes the peculiarities of multimedia communication of educational organizations in electronic libraries. The concepts of "multimedia" and "multimedia communication" are revealed. Some aspects of multi-media communication are considered: online catalog, digital collections, library web resources, online manuals, virtual reference services, social media. An appropriate task is the organization of advanced training courses for educators in order to acquire the necessary knowledge, abilities and skills in the field of mastering multimedia technologies.
