Abstract

The article presents the view of scientists on the assessment of a child's readiness to study in a modern Ukrainian school. The developed diagnostic model of a child's readiness for schooling is considered. The constituent components of this readiness have been determined. They are based on a competent and holistic approach to assessing the psychological achievements of a child of older preschool age. A new toolkit is presented - express diagnostics "Magic Transformations". Its purpose is to assess the current state of development of a child of older preschool age social and psychological qualities, soft skills, the basis of key competencies of a preschooler. The methodology contains a clear algorithm of actions for preparation, implementation and generalization of results. The developed strategies of personal development interaction of an adult with children with different levels of readiness for schooling are indicated.
