Abstract
Current problems of the development of the digital competence of teachers in the international educational space are considered. Approaches to the continuous improvement of digital competence of teachers are presented, which will allow to effectively integrate the latest technologies in education, thereby ensuring high quality of cognitive activity. It is emphasized that the concept of digital competence of a teacher (Digital Competence in Teaching (DCT)) implies a wider range of skills than that which refers to learning processes and the way technology is used in the classroom, and combines the ability to diagnose the educational and technological needs of students, to provide the necessary digital resources and tools, to implement cooperation in a globalized educational environment, which creates the basis for active participation in the functioning of the modern and future digital society.
