Abstract
The article analyses the system of questions and tasks aimed at the formation of environmental competence of students of grades 5-7 in Ukrainian literature textbooks. Scientific works that summarize the experience of integrating environmental competence at different educational levels are considered. The main problems of the formation of key competencies in the process of literary education have been identified. It is noted that the relevance of the researched problem is determined by the implementation of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education and educational reforms. During the analysis and generalization of the achievements of Ukrainian and foreign scientists in the development and implementation of the concept of competence training, aspects were identified that require detailed scientific development The process of forming green competence during the teaching of Ukrainian literature in grades 5-7 of Ukrainian School based on the textbooks prepared at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogic Sciences of Ukraine is described. Lines of integration of basic knowledge of ecology into the process of studying thematic sections of textbooks are highlighted. The system of questions and tasks presented in the textbooks, aimed at the formation of research scientific and ecological skills, and the development of an evaluative attitude towards the actions and behavior of literary heroes and situations related to ecology, is substantiated. In the process of approbation of textbooks of Ukrainian literature in grades 5-7 of Ukrainian Schools, ways of combining the textbook and other teaching aids for the effective formation of green competence were identified. It has been proven that the textbook of Ukrainian literature is one of the main means of forming the key competencies of Ukrainian Schools. The system of questions and tasks in Ukrainian literature textbooks for grades 5-7 promotes the development of ecological thinking and ecological culture.
