Abstract

A safe educational environment plays a significant role in learning success and the quality of educational knowledge. When participants in the educational process (whether students or teachers) feel safe and supported at school or university, they can concentrate better on their studies and achieve better results. Safety includes both physical and emotional safety. Physical safety means having safe spaces and precautions in place to prevent injuries and other negative experiences. Emotional safety includes supporting mental health, avoiding bullying and other forms of violence, and creating a climate that is conducive to interaction and understanding. Safety and support in the educational environment make learners more likely to actively participate in learning, collaborate with other learners (students, teachers, etc.), and achieve their learning goals. Thus, a safe environment contributes to increased learning success and overall development.
