Abstract
The article describes the performance of the Institute of Vocational Education NAES of Ukraine in 2023, presented at the XVII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical (Reporting) Conference "Scientific and Methodological Support of Vocational Education under Martial Law" (26 February – 7 March 2024). The activities of the scientific institution are highlighted in the context of overcoming the educational losses and gaps in vocational and professional pre-higher education caused by the war. Attention is focused on the problems of vocational education in Ukraine, determined by the transformation of the domestic labour market needs. The pedagogical innovations developed at the Institute for the promotion of public-private partnerships to improve the efficiency of educational institutions in the context of war and post-war recovery are described. The pedagogical technologies for enhancing the environmentalisation of the vocational education content to train specialists who are ready to professionally overcome the consequences of the ecocide committed against Ukraine are highlighted. The measures taken by the Institute to develop the digitization of vocational education to promote the training of competitive, flexible and mobile specialists in the digital economy, responsible users of digital technologies and literate citizens of the digital society are substantiated. The article presents the Institute's achievements in the field of youth self-sufficiency, training of vocational education students as socially responsible, tolerant, stress-resistant professionals and citizens capable of self -development in conditions of instability and ready for self-employment by starting their own business. The article outlines the prospects for the development of the scientific institution, announces new areas of research, and strengthens the Institute's ties with domestic and foreign educational institutions, civil society and the labour market.
