Abstract
Gamification is revealed as an innovative game method of learning aimed at: activation of cognitive activity; facilitation, perception and making up of educational information in the situation of educational losses and gaps, overload, stressful conditions of schoolchildren; consideration of needs in cognitive and social-emotional development. positive atmosphere of the educational process. The possibilities of Gamification are revealed on the example of the game Minecraft and its educational version MinecraftEdu, which is specially designed for use in schools, can be easily coordinated with educational subjects and their teaching, in general, contribute to the acquisition of competences, the development of creativity, the ability to explore the world and model it. An overview of the use of MinecraftEdu and Minecraft: Education Editionin educational practice and in foreign experience was carried out.
