Abstract

Introduction. An important component of counteracting the chronic stress associated with the threat to personal safety and life, which the Ukrainian population and staff of organizations encountered during the invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, is the search and use of personal resources, one of which are stress-coping styles. Aim: to develop and test an educational staff's training program in the use of productive coping styles as a factor in promoting psychological health and well-being in war conditions. Methods: problem-based learning methods and organizational-directive and content-focused interactive techniques, which are based on the technological approach to the development and use of organizational-psychological technologies (Karamushka, L.). Results: The program «Productive coping styles development training in the context of promoting the psychological health and well-being of educational staff in war conditions» was made up of the following training sessions: «Stress in the conditions of war and its manifestations in educational staff»; «The essence and types of coping styles as educational staffs' personal resource during the war»; «The role of coping styles in promoting educational staffs' psychological health and well-being in the conditions of war»; «Organizational and psychological factors in and conditions for the development of educational staffs' coping styles during the war». The training's organizational-directive and content-focused interactive techniques are described in detail. Conclusions. The training program, which was tested in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education, showed its effectiveness and can be recommended for training educational staff in using productive coping styles and a situational approach during the war.
