Abstract

The article explores the essence and necessity of implementing the university's third mission in unstable conditions. The paths for implementing the university's third mission are identified and their significance in enhancing the competitiveness of the higher education institution is substantiated. The implementation of the university's third mission involves improving the interaction of the higher education institution with the external environment as an open system.
