Abstract
The review article addresses the issue of organizing self-education activities of scientific and pedagogical staff in higher education institutions through the means of open science. Emphasis is placed on the relevance of the research topic, which is driven by the need to improve the quality and effectiveness of integrating open science tools and services into self-education activities, enhance their utilization in domestic science and education, elevate the level of training for professionals in the education sector, particularly in higher education institutions. It is determined that the use of open electronic scientific and educational systems is a powerful auxiliary tool in facilitating the self-education activities of teachers. It is noted that the main criteria for selecting such systems are openness, functionality, and their suitability for use in research institutions and higher education institutions. The necessity of incorporating digital technologies into self-education activities is demonstrated, as their use enables the realization and acquisition of necessary knowledge and skills. Emphasis is placed on the expediency of utilizing open electronic scientific and educational systems. A list of open electronic scientific and educational systems, online platforms for self-learning and self-improvement for scientific and pedagogical staff of higher education institutions is provided. The possibilities of utilizing cloud resources and services for carrying out self-education activities for scientific and pedagogical staff of higher education institutions are analyzed. The conclusion is formulated that engaging in self-education activities by higher education instructors using cloud-oriented platforms and services provides: open access to current scientific research results; implementation of personal research projects; facilitation of international cooperation and knowledge exchange; development of digital competence and skill enhancement; improvement of the overall quality of scientific research and educational services.
