Abstract

The results of the All-Ukrainian online conference with international participation “Humanistic Ideas of Hryhorii Skovoroda as a Development Source for the Scientific Potential of a Teacher in the Continuous Education System” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhorii Skovoroda and the Day of Education Employees (September 27, 2022) are presented. The event was co-organised by the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, M.V. Оstrohradskyi Poltava Academy of Continuous Education, State Higher Educational Institution “University of Education Management” of NAES of Ukraine, in particular Central Institute of Postgraduate Education, Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of NAES of Ukraine, Institute for Digitalisation of Education of NAES of Ukraine, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, State Scientific Institution “Institute of Education Content Modernization”, V.G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University, etc. It is proved that in the field of continuous teacher education, the legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda should acquire a new understanding, taking into account the priority idea of “related” labour. After all, the “relatedness” of the teaching profession has become the main factor in forming the military elite, which is now worthily defending Ukraine. The mission of the online conference was to discuss topical issues of education, to promote the active study and popularisation of the creative legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda, and to actualise his innovative ideas in modern educational practice taking into account the priorities of lifelong learning. The prospects of actualising Hryhorii Skovoroda’s ideas in modern socio-cultural conditions are outlined.
