Abstract
In connection with the development and application of modern information and communication technologies (hereinafter referred to as ICT) in all spheres of science, technology, education and industry, at the present stage of the country’s development, the training of future specialists who are able to use their knowledge in production using these technologies is a priority. task for teachers of professional higher education. Preparing competitive electrical technician, adapted to life and professional activities, requires the college teacher to use appropriate information and communication technologies to effectively develop the professional competence of the future specialist. The purpose of the article is to study the potential of using information and communication technologies in developing the professional competence of future electrical technicians in college. The methodology for the integrated use of ICT in the process of studying electrical engineering disciplines for the effective formation of professional competence of a future specialist is considered. It has been proven that the use of multimedia lectures and practical classes (virtual laboratories) can improve the efficiency and quality of training, as well as provide more explanations of educational material for students, and increase their interest in electrical engineering disciplines. Thus, the clear advantages of using ICT and multimedia technologies in organizing the educational process are beyond doubt. It is the use of ICT that has significant potential in developing the professional competence of future electrical technicians who, after graduating from college, will use their knowledge in production using new information technologies. Considering the development and application of advanced information and communication technologies in all spheres of human activity such as science, technology, education and industry at the current stage of the country's development, the training of future specialists who can use their knowledge in production with the application of new information technologies is a primary task for college teachers.
