Abstract

The paper examines a retrospective analysis of the training of teachers and educators for Ukrainian studies schools in the United States. In particular, it is noted that in order to train and improve the qualifications of teachers and other pedagogical staff, the School Board in the United States, with the support of various Ukrainian public organizations, annually organizes regional conferences, seminars, and round tables. In addition, in order to systematically address the issue of teacher training for Ukrainian studies schools, two-week courses for teachers and principals have been offered for many years at the Soyuzivka (Ukrainian Heritage Center, Kergonkson, New York). It is concluded that the training of qualified teachers is one of the important areas of the School Board's work and is the key to the preservation and further development of the Ukrainian community in the United States and Ukrainian educational institutions.
