Abstract
Engineering education is changing under the influence of the widespread adoption of various digital systems. Digitization is increasingly becoming a central issue for improving engineering education. While opening significant prospects, it also requires additional training of teachers and future specialists. In the conditions of increasing pressure on budgets and standardization, virtual educational complexes create innovative methods of training organization. Virtual reality has advantages for future professionals and educators by providing cost-effective, spatially independent, individualized, standardized and repetitive learning. Repetition is an important component of improving the quality of engineering education based on the establishment of a large number of synaptic connections of new learning information with existing experience. Virtual training complexes allow future specialists to simultaneously process the information received from different positions (customer, user, controller, etc.). Although virtual learning complexes are not a panacea, they are a powerful educational tool for achieving a specific learning goal, and their adoption in the learning process is increasing worldwide. The future of virtual learning complexes lies in their continuous integration into educational programs and technological development systems that enable collaborative engineering experience. This will contribute to the improvement of the quality of engineering education regardless of geography and will change the engineering and technological training of future specialists. The structure and methodology of creating virtual educational complexes for improving the quality of engineering education were substantiated. An overview of the resources that allow teachers to create and future specialists to use virtual educational complexes was carried out. The article presents ideas on improving the quality of education based on the consolidation of educational information by re-processing it from various sources and in various ways. A conclusion was made about the need to improve the educational process with the use of digital technologies.
