Abstract

The article deals with 9 indexes and appendices that can be included in the reference and auxiliary apparatus of the encyclopedic biographical dictionary " Educators of Ukraine (2nd half of the XIX – early XXI centuries)": 1) personal, 2) educational institutions, scientific institutions and other organisations, 3) the field of activity of the personalities, 4) places of birth of the personalities, 5) chronology of the years of birth of the personalities, 6) repressed educators, 7) women educators, 8) emigrant educators, 9) authors of the dictionary. The expediency of these indexes and appendices is briefly argued, and examples of their design are given.
