Abstract

The Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine conducts systematic work on experimental testing of the results of scientific research on the implementation of the ideas of the New Ukrainian School. Since 2017, the Institute's researchers have conducted 16 scientific studies to substantiate and structure the content of Primary and Basic Secondary Education, develop methodological training systems, introduce new approaches to evaluating educational applicants, and determine the didactic foundations of new-generation textbooks. As a result of these studies, 4 concepts, 6 educational programs for grades 1-4 and 5-9 of General Secondary Education Institutions, 32 model training programs and 8 training programs, 44 textbooks for grades 1-4 and 25 for grades 5-6, more than 280 educational and methodological manuals were developed, experimentally tested and implemented in educational practice. At the stage of developing innovative approaches to the educational and methodological support of the content and methods of teaching in the New Ukrainian School, the Institute's scientists carried out a comprehensive testing of them within the framework of four All-Ukrainian projects approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. As a result of the experimental work, the effectiveness of the system of competence-oriented education in primary school according to the standard educational program for grades 1-4, developed under the leadership of O. Ya. Savchenko, the alternative educational system “the world is waiting for the Winged ones” for grades 1-4, the didactic system of training on the adaptation cycle (grades 5-6) and the educational system “League of the Winged ones” for grades 5-9 was proved. The Institute's scientists are in constant contact with the experimental teachers and are directly involved in the experimental testing of the ideas of the New Ukrainian School in pilot educational institutions. To ensure the effective and full implementation of these innovations, the Institute has launched a systematic work on teacher training. Communities have been created on social media to discuss the problems of the pilot experiments.
