Abstract
The article discusses the essence and content of innovation and innovative practices in informal and non-formal education. It emphasizes that societal progress and state development are driven by the advanced development of the educational and scientific spheres, fostering harmonious individuals with a high level of self-organization. The importance of innovation in modernizing and reforming education is highlighted. It is noted that innovations are aimed at significantly improving the structure, quality, and effectiveness of learning, making it more engaging and interesting for learners, and developing their adaptability to changes in society and the economy based on the mastery of new technologies, management skills, entrepreneurship, and more. It is emphasized that innovation is the result of individual creative activity, and it is crucial to provide conditions for their harmonious professional and personal development. The essential characteristics and types of innovative products are identified, and the main directions of innovative activities in informal and non-formal education are indicated. Significant innovative theories and teaching technologies of the 20th and 21st centuries are examined. The directions of professional development for educators in the context of the concept of sustainable development, Vernadsky’s noosphere, and I. Ziazun’s pedagogical expertise are highlighted. Modern innovative practices in the field of informal and non-formal education are disclosed, taking into account their essence and specificity. The main types of innovative activities are outlined, and the sequence of actions in developing innovations in informal and non-formal education is provided. The main problems at the stage of innovation creation and their consequences are also mentioned.
