Abstract
The program in ethnology is aimed at the formation of subject and key competencies defined in regulatory documents. The main goal of studying the subject / course "Ethnoscience" in grades 1-4 is the formation of social and life competencies of younger schoolchildren based on knowledge about Ukraine; familiarization with the material and spiritual values and assets of the Ukrainian people; studying the peculiarities of the Ukrainian ethnos, language, culture, natural environment, nation- and state-building, Ukrainian mentality, historical development of the Ukrainian state; the formation of a spiritually rich personality with a holistic view of the world, deep patriotic feelings and a developed national self-awareness of the future citizen of Ukraine.
