Abstract
Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) using HMDs is a technology for creating a sense of presence (including psychological presence) of the user in a virtual space. Different IVR technologies can be used to create different levels of engagement and sense of presence in an artificial (simulated) environment. The possibilities range from passive observation of the virtual world, to those where the user is provided with limited navigation and interaction, to a virtual environment where the user manipulates (moves), interacts, resulting in an individual experience in the process of experiential learning of experimental mathematics.
