Abstract

The theses consider the essence of the concepts "information", "information competence", "educational text". The specifics of working with educational texts in the context of forming students' information competence are described. Attention is focused on the possible variety of educational texts. The importance of compliance with information hygiene is emphasized and relevant conditions are outlined.
