Abstract

The work highlights the approaches of using the self-assessment tool of the teacher's digital competence. The relevance of the organization of the self-assessment procedure of the teacher's digital competence in the conditions of martial law and quarantine restrictions is outlined. The limitations during the implementation of distance learning by teachers that have arisen in recent years (2021-2023) have been analyzed; approaches to defining the concept of digital competence by domestic and foreign scientists are analyzed; a review of the results of the respondents' answers regarding the level of their digital competence in five categories was carried out in 2023. Approaches to conducting an online survey procedure have been developed, allowing to obtain reliable data. The components included in the tool for self-assessment of digital competence of teachers and pedagogical workers are presented: information and digital literacy, communication and cooperation, creation of digital content, safety, problem solving. It has been established that it is advisable to conduct an online survey annually in order to monitor the dynamics of changes in the digital competence of respondents and provide suggestions for the system of professional development and training of teachers. An example of the questions of the online questionnaire for self-assessment of the digital competence of teachers is given. The goal is to present the technology and tool for self-assessment of a teacher's digital competence in the conditions of martial law and quarantine restrictions based on international approaches, in particular the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp 2.1). It has been established that the use of a teacher's digital competence self-assessment tool is a component of education quality monitoring, which contributes to maintaining the necessary level of professional competence of teachers. The expediency of conducting the procedure of continuous self-assessment of the digital competence of teachers and its introduction into the system of postgraduate education is substantiated.
