Abstract
In recent years, the attitude towards this form of teacher development has changed - face-to-face and distance form of professional development and distance learning programs have been introduced. This approach made it possible to save money on the accommodation of teachers in dormitories, not to separate them from their main activities, and for postgraduate education institutions to more deeply implement distance learning technologies. Despite the teacher's previous training for distance learning, he remained a "student". He lacked the competences and technical means to carry out distance learning, which forced the development of conceptual approaches to the targeted development of digital competences of teachers of general secondary education institutions.
