Abstract
One of the promising directions of the application of information technologies in education is characterized, in particular the development of virtual laboratories that can be used to ensure a higher quality level of educational material and with the use of which it can be made more saturated, visual, bright and accessible. The virtual learning environment allows you to simulate the behavior of real-world objects in a computer environment and promotes the acquisition of new knowledge and skills at a more conscious and deeper level. Approaches to the interpretation of the term "virtual laboratory" were analyzed and a conclusion was made about the possibility of its effective use in educational institutions and training centers of various organizations as a means of forming the practical skills of pupils and students during the teaching of natural and mathematical disciplines and for modeling processes in information and cyber security. It has been established that the issue of virtual laboratories is widely covered in the foreign press as well. First of all, it is about the problems of implementing a virtual laboratory for students of medical professions, such as nurses and physical exercise specialists, and the work of a virtual educational and research laboratory in the nuclear field, in particular, the development of a 3D model of the TRIGA reactor plant using virtual reality models, etc.
