Abstract
Strengthening the role of digital literacy and competence for the working population is due to the rapid digitalization of all spheres of life in modern society in general and the forced transition to blended and/or distance learning. Given the relevance of the problem of forming the digital competence of students of philological specialties, the research aim is to theoretically substantiate the feasibility of using interactive forms of organization and teaching methods in their training in higher education institutions. The article provides a scientific analysis of the content and essence of the concepts of "digital competence" and "digital competence of a pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical worker," as well as clarifies the essence of the concept of "digital competence of philological specialties students ." To achieve this aim, the author uses a set of theoretical research methods (analysis, systematization, and generalization of the results of Ukrainian and foreign scientists' scientific and pedagogical experience). The author analyses the experience of Ukrainian and foreign researchers to determine effective forms of organization and teaching methods targeted at forming digital competence of students of philological specialties. The basis of digital competence of students of philological specialties includes knowledge of the basic rules of digital security, information ethics, and hygiene; skills and abilities to communicate safely with all participants of the educational process in the digital environment of the educational institution; skills and abilities to use information technologies (including digital ones), which guarantees the effectiveness of searching, analyzing and synthesizing the necessary information from various sources that are presented in a digital format; skills and abilities to develop educational content in digital format. Interactive forms of organization and teaching methods that contribute to the effective formation of digital competence are identified, namely: lectures, practical and seminar classes organized in the form of a discussion or debate, the "flipped classroom" method, the project-based method, the discussion method, the method of presenting information and the method of using didactic games.
