Abstract

In the conditions of intensifying globalization challenges, Ukrainian educators and students of education are faced with new challenges of the virtual world: the need to process large amounts of information, fast pace of life, filtering of valuable information from informational mud, low level of offline contacts, high level of aggressiveness and conflict in the information space, etc. All these new realities of today's life put new demands on modern man. In order to function in the new information world, a person must acquire new information competence. It is information competence that will contribute to the increase of human adaptability to digital transformations taking place at the current stage of development of society in general and education in particular. The goal of adult education in the conditions of digital transformation is the development of information competence in adults as a set of competencies necessary for adaptation and their effective functioning in a fast-moving information society.
