Abstract
The article reveals the substantive aspect of the formation of rhetorical competence of future teachers on an interdisciplinary basis, which emphasizes the interrelationships between educational disciplines, contributes to a systematic, multifaceted consideration of facts, phenomena, processes that ensure effective communication and enables the determination of elements of specialization in accordance with the specialty of future teachers; optimizes spending of study time on consideration of individual issues. The definition of the basic concept of the research "rhetorical competence of future teachers" is proposed, which is interpreted as a complex personal formation that contains knowledge about communication as an interpersonal interaction, a social-psychological phenomenon, peculiarities of pedagogical communication; rhetorical skills, that is, methods of action that the teacher can use in various situations; communicative experience; awareness of motives and value orientations of personal and professional communication; mobilization readiness for the formation of rhetorical skills in students of education. It has been proven that the implementation of interdisciplinary connections is one of the concrete ways to improve the quality of professional training of philology students. The rhetorical potential of the disciplines "Ukrainian Language Practice", "Modern Ukrainian Literary Language", "Speech Culture", "Fundamentals of Communicative Linguistics", "Text Linguistics", "Stylistics" has been determined. A special role is given to rhetoric, which ensures the formation of a complex of skills to choose the right communicative strategies aimed at harmonizing the educational process, skillfully use pedagogical genres. Thorough rhetorical training is a means of forming an elitist style of speech behavior in all spheres of social activity. The implementation of the competence approach strengthens the applied aspect of the formation of rhetorical competence of future teachers.
