Abstract
This article analyzes the state of implementation of modern forms and methods of education for education seekers in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School using a questionnaire created in Google Form at the beginning of 2023. The research was conducted in different regions of Ukraine, as well as at advanced training courses at the Central Institute of Postgraduate Education on the thematic courses «NUS: Forms and Methods of Education of Students in General Secondary Education Institutions» (on the basis of the Korostensky CPDPW). Almost 200 teachers of general secondary education institutions took part in the survey by age: under 30 years old – 9.6%, 31-40 years old – 35.6%, 41-50 years old – 20.2%, over 50 years old – 34.6 %; by qualification category: specialists – 12.5%, teachers of the second category – 12.5%, teachers of the first category – 23%, teachers of the highest category – 26%, senior teachers – 12.5%, methodical teachers – 13.5% ; by length of teaching experience: 0-3 years – 7.7%, 4-10 years – 15.4%, 11-20 years – 26.9%, over 20 years – 50%; by location: rural – 21.2%, urban – 78.8%. It was found that the majority of respondents would like to improve their professional level precisely on the topic «Digital technologies in the professional activity of a teacher» (73.3%), which indicates the need of teachers to master digital technologies necessary for the successful implementation of professional activities in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School and the need to ensure the continuous development of digital competences of teachers in the professional development system. It was determined that there are a number of risks associated with the lack of time, Internet and energy supply; the material base of the general secondary education institution in accordance with the requirements; lack of theoretical knowledge and help; preparation of modern interactive materials in accordance with the needs and individual characteristics of education seekers. The conducted research made it possible to draw conclusions that teachers of general secondary education institutions need to increase the level of digital competences in order to pay significant attention to the implementation of modern effective forms and methods of training education seekers in the New Ukrainian School.
