Abstract
The "digitalization virus" has formed new priorities of scientific research in the direction of "digitalization", expanding the horizons of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of pedagogy, namely, creating new definitions to previously known ones with the introduction of the used term in technical sciences "digital". The purpose of the report is to review the following concepts: Digital Culture, digital literacy, digital competence, modernity, educational phenomena. It is established that the introduction and use of teachers in the phrases "education", "training", "competence", "literacy". "culture", the technical term" digital " is not entirely correct from a technical point of view, distorts the essence of the process acceptable in the technical sciences and does not correspond to reality.
