Abstract
In the article, readers are invited to get acquainted with the Ukrainian team of young researchers who participated in the XXVIII International Conference of Young Researchers ICYS-2021 online, Belgrade (Serbia). The event was attended by 142 young researchers from 23 countries, who defended their research projects before an international jury consisting of prominent scientists, representatives of scientific universities from around the world. Under the terms of the competition, participants presented themselves (video recording), defended their project in English in a scientific discussion with members of the jury (online), a separate nomination was also prepared research poster and poster defense. In this article, we invite readers to get acquainted with our talented future scientists – articipants in the competition and read excerpts from their interviews. Young researchers share their thoughts about themselves, science, the future, about ICYS, talk about their victories, aspirations, achievements and hobbies, projects. Our children demonstrated a real will to win, determination and of course a high level of performances and presentations, winning the following awards: 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, one special prize in the sections of engineering, physics, mathematics and life sciences, as well as 4 medals in the “Poster Presentation” nomination! We thank the parents, teachers, supervisors of all participants and winners, as well as the team “ICYS – Ukraine” of the Institute of Gifted Children of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences” of Ukraine, which trained participants for six months!
