Abstract
The report presents the results of scientific and organizational activities of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2018-2022. During this period, 31 scientific studies (6 fundamental and 25 applied) were completed, and 19 studies are still being carried out. A number of significant scientific results were obtained that enriched educational theory and practice. Didactic and methodological support of Primary School Education in accordance with the concept of the New Ukrainian School was developed; new methods of competence-oriented teaching of a number of subjects at different stages of Complete General Secondary Education; technologies of research training and development of critical thinking of Lyceum students in History lessons were proposed; organization of project activities of Lyceum students in the process of teaching Mathematics; assessment of academic achievements of applicants for General Secondary Education in the conditions of distance learning were proposed; the theories of formation of the content of specialized training in the unity of its invariant and variable components, as well as state and public management of active educational systems are substantiated; the trends of transformation of the educational process in Ukraine and the EU in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic are studied; the formation of the content and technological components of the educational environment of the Gymnasium, taking into account the peculiarities of distance education and mixed learning; the decentralization of management of reference Educational Institutions in the conditions of the Educational District and Local Government are studied. A positive feature of the Institute’s scientific activity is its prompt response to the needs and requests of educational practice. With the participation of scientists of the Institute, state standards of Primary and Basic Secondary Education, corresponding Standard Educational Programs for grades 1-2, 3-4 and 5-9 of General Secondary Education Institutions were created. A significant contribution has been made to the theory and practice of textbook creation. During 2018-2022, the Institute’s researchers created 132 new textbooks for various levels of General Secondary Education. The scientific potential of the institution (154 researchers, including 43 Doctors and 71 Candidates of Sciences, 6 Active Members and 3 Corresponding Members of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine) and the appropriate structure of the Institute make it possible to comprehensively cover and professionally solve current problems of theory and practice of this level of Education. The scientific heritage of the Institute for 2018-2022 was published in 6339 publications, including 39 monographs, 67 collections of scientific papers, 240 educational, methodological and practical manuals, 132 textbooks, 90 educational and training programs, 716 articles in professional publications.
