Abstract
The monograph is dedicated to the study of the problem of the modern theory of scientific education, which had a fundamental impact on the development of the knowledge society. The process of formation of scientific education in the history of the intellectual progress of mankind, from antiquity to modern times, is considered. The author emphasizes the cognitive competence of a person in creating the spiritual and material structure of civilization, which today is largely provided by scientific education. The theoretical positions of the author are supplemented with examples from philosophy, art and history. The concept of scientific education developed in the monograph opens up prospects for further improvement of the education system in the conditions of information and digital reality. The monograph is intended for scientists, graduate students, students, everyone who is concerned about the problems of further progress of knowledge in the modern world.
