Abstract
The manual is devoted to the analysis of modern theoretical, methodological and practical approaches to psychological support to children of war. Key concepts, effects of war on the mental state of children and adolescents and potential resources for their recovery are defined. Features of psychosocial support and psychotherapeutic interventions are outlined (main models of assistance to children of war, effective in different countries); as well as the possibilities of adapting foreign methods of psychosocial help for children of war to the realities of Ukraine (including psychodiagnostic methods that have been used for many years with children who were affected by war and/or were forced to relocate to safe places from active combat zones). The manual combines modern theoretical research and practical methods adapted by the authors. The manual is addressed to a wide range of practical psychologists, teachers, social workers and all those interested in psychological assistance to children in wartime.
