Abstract
The article presents a segment of the virtual information and bibliographic resource "Outstanding Teachers of Ukraine and the World" of the V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine , dedicated to the famous scientist of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, specialist in the field of general pedagogy and didactics of primary school Oleksandra Yakivna Savchenko (1942–2020). The components of the resource: "Biography", "Bibliography of Works", "Bibliography of Works About the Life and Activities of the Scientist", "Full-text Documents", "Photo Gallery" were analyzed in detail, and their content was analyzed. It is proven that the resource page reveals the contribution of O. Ya. Savchenko to the evolution of primary education, actually the educational process itself in primary school, to the preparation of the legislative framework and the formation of the strategy for the development of Ukrainian education and science. Attention is focused on the scientist’s research on instilling reading abilities and skills in younger schoolchildren, on the experimental work that was carried out in connection with the transition of the primary level of school from a four-year to a three-year term of study. It was noted that in the creative heritage of Oleksandra Yakivna, the works on the study of the scientific and pedagogical heritage of the Ukrainian pedagogue-humanist V. O. Sukhomlynskyi stand out: "Faces of the Didactic System of V. O. Sukhomlynskyi" (1993), "Development of Pupil’s Creativity – the Core Problem of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi’s Creativity" (2011), "Students’ Ability to Learn in the Didactic System of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi" (2013), "V. Sukhomlynskyi’s Ideas in the Space of Ukrainian Education" (2018). The biobibliographic information of the works of O. Ya. Savchenko is summarized. Based on the bibliography and analysis of the scientist’s works, a conclusion is made about the broad pedagogical outlook of the pedagogue. Biobibliographic studies contribute to a better knowledge of the past, understanding the present and predicting the future, ensuring the unity, continuity and inheritance of the experience of generations. It is shown that the electronic resource can be used as a source base for researching the life and scientific heritage of scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
