Abstract
The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education involves the processing, preservation and transmission of information, illustration of real natural processes (representation of physical, chemical and biological phenomena in programs, electronic textbooks and presentations with interactive models), solving tasks of designing digital environments, formation of key competencies, general skills, attitudes and computer skills. The specific areas of ICT application in school science education are determined by the specific properties of the computer, which makes it possible to use it as a means of implementing a competency-based approach to learning. Using a computer for the purpose of demonstrating various natural phenomena, carrying out research contributes to the awareness of the deep reasons of their course, which is important in the process of learning natural sciences and makes it possible to solve complex applied tasks.
